3 Can you design a balanced urban community?

Your mission is to work in a pair (or three) and to design the best, most balanced city as possible in the time given to you.

You will use an interactive flash game at the bottom of this post.

As you work in pairs, you will use just one laptop / computer between you and you should discuss carefully what you need to do. At the end of the time limit decided by your teacher, you should take a screen shot and/or  note down your scored for the success criteria:

  • population (how many people are living in your city, the more the better)
  • crime rate (the lower the score, the less crime there is)
  • pollution index (the lower the number, the less air pollution there is)
  • unemployment (the percentage of people without jobs – you want this to be a low score)
  • jobs – the higher the number, the better
